A group of pro-BNP journalists met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence in the capital on Saturday night.
The group of journalists, including National Press Club President Syed Abdal Ahmed and Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Ruhul Amin Gazi visited the opposition chief around 10pm.
Gazi said: “Khaleda Zia said she should be given the facilities that an opposition party chief enjoys. She is determined to join tomorrow’s [Sunday’s Dhaka March] programme.”
He said the BNP chairperson has also criticised the step of putting barricades on the sides of her house.
The pro-BNP journalists made the visit amid the tension centering BNP’s Dhaka March which is to be held on Sunday.
The journalists made their way through the intense security in front of the BNP chairperson’s residence.
