The main opposition BNP has no power to create any obstacle to the 10th parliamentary elections, Industries Minister Tofail Ahmed said.
He made the statement while addressing a discussion marking the second death anniversary of veteran Awami League leader Abdur Razzak at TSC of Dhaka University on Friday afternoon.
“The opposition has no power to foil the election slated for January 5 as its move goes against mass people of the country”.
He also termed the opposition called program on December 29 as connectionless with people.
He urged the opposition leader to give up atrocities in name of democracy during the blockades and shutdowns those are claiming many innocent lives.
Speaking at the discussion, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said ‘Khelada Zia supports militancy and she proved it by boycotting the elections’.
