Awami League leader Mahbub ul Hanif has sent a letter to the Election Commission seeking security during his election campaigning.
The ruling party leader wrote the letter addressing the Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed on Tuesday.
Wishing to remain anonymous, an Election Commission official informed the Dhaka Tribune about the matter.
However, he did not disclose the exact content of the letter in detail or anything about the CEC’s reply.
