Newly inducted assistant secretaries of the Awami League have paid their tributes to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 on Monday morning.
Mazharul Islam Manik, assistant secretary to the party, and also former Chhatra League leader, Nurul Alam Pathan Milon, Mira Akter were among other assistant secretaries.
Awami League office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap also attended the programme.
On December 15, the committee of the assistant secretaries was finalised.
This year Awami League made 66 assistant secretaries on January 2 and 83 more on August 6.
