Update : 21 Dec 2013, 01:22 PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called the main opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to boycott Jamaat and come forward for a compromise for holding fresh elections.

The prime minister made the urge while addressing a discussion in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

“If BNP can boycott Jamaat and come forward for a compromise with us [Awami League], the parliament could be dissolved and a fresh election might be held,” reiterated the PM.

Hasina added: “She [Khaleda] has declared to come out to the streets but she will have to answer first, why she is mum in regards to Pakistan’s resolution on war convicted Jamaat leader Quader Molla’s execution.”
