Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad would not go abroad for treatment, said party’s Presidium Member Kazi Firoz Rashid on Wednesday.
He made the statement to the journalists after meeting Raushan Ershad at her residence in the capital around 2:30pm.
Firoz Rashid said: “There is no need for him [Ershad] to go abroad as he will be taking the treatment here.”
Syed Abu Hossain Babla and Tajul Islam Chowdhury, among others, were present during the time.
Earlier, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad had agreed on the government’s proposal to go abroad apparently to pave the way for a section of his party men to go to the polls.
