Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad accused expelled presidium member Kazi Zafar of demanding Tk10m and a “luxurious” car from the government, as well as for the post of an advisor to the prime minister, prior to its formation.
The embattled octogenarian, who had been under tremendous political pressure because of his shifting stance on the interim government and found himself faulted by several senior party leaders, made the claim to reporters at 6am today.
Sunil Shuvo Roy, Ershad’s press and political secretary, confirmed the matter of allegations to the Dhaka Tribune.
