Expelled Jatiya Party Presidium member Kazi Zafar Ahmed met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia last night.
He led a delegation to Khaleda’s Gulshan office around 8pm. The BNP chief was present at the office. She went to the office after eight days.
This is the second time in a week Kazi Zafar called on Khaleda.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on November 28 expelled him as the latter slated the party chief, a former military dictator, as “betrayer” following its joining the polls-time cabinet.
Kazi Zafar the same day claimed that he had suspended Ershad from the party and that the decision would be approved by a special presidium meeting soon.
Kazi Zafar, who had defended all his undemocratic steps, said he was a victim of his political guru’s “autocracy.”
He also castigated Ershad for continuously conducting talks with the BNP for the last one year and handing over lists of his candidates twice for the election.
