A ward level leader of Swechasebak Dal was killed in a clash between the blockade supporters and police in Sitakunda upazila of the port city on early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Rasel.
Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Sitakunda police station, confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
