A case has been filed with Shahbagh police station, naming several leaders of BNP and its associate bodies regarding the arson attack on a bus that killed one, and injured 18 others on Thursday evening.

The case has named several BNP leaders as "suspects" behind the attack, including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, national standing committee member Mirza Abbas, and joint secretaries general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Amanullah Aman.

The case also alleges unidentified miscreants for being behind the attack. Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed the news to the Dhaka Tribune.

The case was lodged Thursday evening following the death of one teenager and burn injury on 18 others as miscreants set ablaze a bus in capital's Shahbagh area on the third day of blockade by the BNP and its allies.
