Claiming that Tarique Rahman and some central BNP leaders’ names have been excluded from the voter list, the district unit of 18-party alliance called a 36-hour hartal in Bogra district from Sunday demanding the inclusion of their names.
The Convener of 18-party alliance, also BNP district President Saiful Islam Saiful declared the hartal during a press conference held at BNP district office on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, they also demanded the unconditional release of the detained BNP leaders and activists.
Jaynal Abedin Chand, secretary of district unit of BNP confirmed about the hartal.
