Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin, advisor to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, was arrested from Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport Thursday night.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police south zone Deputy Commissioner Abdullahel Baki said the arrest was made around 9:25pm.
Nasiruddin was named in two cases of Kotwali and Chwakbazar police regarding the violence in the port city on Wednesday during the opposition's blockade, he said.
