Local Jamaat-e-Islami called a half-day hartal in the district for Thursday protesting the killing of one of their activist.
Jamaat’s district committee disclosed the information in a press release signed by Jamaat’s district unit secretary Nurul Huda on Wednesday morning.
According to the press release, the party called the hartal protesting the killing of its activist Shamsur Rahmanm who was allegedly killed in police firing on Wednesday.
However, Primary School Certificate and equivalent Ebtedayee Final Examinations candidates will be out of the purview of the hartal.
