Vandals attacked and vandalised Bogra Railway Station Tuesday night again during a nationwide 48-hour blockade of the BNP-led opposition alliance.
Some rooms, including that of Bogra rail Superintendent, was damaged in the 9pm attack, railway Superintendent Belal Uddin said.
“The attackers wanted to start a fire with fuel, but their efforts were thwarted on prompt action,” he said.
However, some adjacent shops were vandalised during this time, he added.
2 cases against 1,400
Two cases were lodged against 1,400 Jamaat-e-Islami and BNP activists with Bogra Sadar Police Station at evening.
Five names were mentioned including Jewel, Shahin Sultan and Morshedul Islam Milon in the cases alleging attack on law enforcers, vandalism and arson.
Sadar police Sub-Inspectors Amirul Islam and Aslam Hossain filed the cases over Monday's violence in Bogra.
