Election commissioner Zabed Ali said the commission is set to issue a notice asking the removal of all kinds of political posters and banners ahead of the next national polls.
He made the announcement while talking to journalists at the EC secretariat around 2:30pm.
He said: “The notice will ask removal of all kinds of posters and banners, which were placed for boosting the polls campaign.”
Regarding the deployment of Army, he said the EC would sit with the heads of the law enforcing agencies and take decision afterwards considering the situation.
On Monday, the Election Commission announced the schedule of the 10th general election of Bangladesh, which will be held on January 5.
He also informed that “the armed forces would be deployed across the country during the tenth parliamentary elections.”
