Hannan Shah on 2-day remand

A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed BNP senior leader ASM Hannan Shah on a two-day remand in three case filed with Bhatara police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tarek Moinul Islam Bhuiyan passed the order after Investigating Officer Ekramul Hoque, produced Hannan before the court seeking a 10-day remand in an arson case filed with Bhatara police station.

During the hearing, Hannan Shah claimed that he was not involved with the arson incident and sought bail.

ASM Hannan Shah has been shown arrested in two cases filed with Bhatara and Motijheel police stations.

Earlier, on Monday night, Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained Hannan Shah near the Japanese embassy in the capital.
