BNP senior leader ASM Hannan Shah has been shown arrested in two cases filed with Bhatara and Motijheel police stations.
Abu Yusuf, assistant commissioner of DMP (Media), confirmed the news with the Dhaka Tribune.
On October 26, a case was filed with Bhatara police station against Hannan Shah on charges of vandalism. Another case was filed with Motijheel police station, in which top five BNP leaders were held.
Earlier, on Monday night, Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained Hannan Shah near the Japanese embassy in the capital.
