BNP chairperson’s adviser Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has claimed that the chief election commissioner is just an accomplice to those who are planning to stage a “blueprint election.”
“CEC is just a dummy. Every step he takes, he will have to depend on the prime minister for it,” he alleged. Khashru added: “So, what he is saying is making no sense.”
Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) leader Andaleeve Rahman Partha said the schedule that the CEC had announced would not be the last that he was going to announce.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad announced that the 10th parliament elections will be held on January 5.
