BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the people to take to the streets to oust the “illegal government” from the office.
“We do not have any option left but to wage tough movement and that’s why young people should wake to the call of the opposition,” he said while addressing a discussion at a city hotel.
The BNP spokesperson alleged that the opposition leaders and activists are being repressed and arrested.
Claiming the current government as illegal, he said: “Elections cannot be held under this government.”
