Issuing a note of warning Jamaat leader Shafiqul Islam Masud said: "if anything untoward happens over Quader Molla verdict, fire will be set in 56 thousand square miles".
“By giving verdict of capital announcement to our senior leaders and paralysing the Shibir President Delwar Hossain, the government cannot hold a lopsided poll,” said Jamaat leader Abdullah Mohammad Taher.
He said Sitakundu incident was just an example.
“If the government tries to hold one-sided election, the whole country will be Sitakundu,” he added.
They made the warning while addressing a protest rally in Suhrawardy Udyan Friday afternoon.
The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Molla to death for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
