Bikalpadhara Bangladesh President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury said the all-party government is a grand alliance government until the main opposition BNP joins it.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s claim to the newly formed cabinet as all-party government is surprising and not true,” he claimed at a statement issued on Tuesday.
He added: “A neutral election will not be held without a non-party polls-time government.”
The former president of the country said it will be better for the country as soon as the elections are held under a non-party government to prevent any polls-time violence.
“The newly formed cabinet consists only of the members of grand alliance. So it cannot be an all-party government,” Badruddoza said.
He claimed that a number of Jatiya Party members have been kept in the cabinet to please HM Ershad.
