A Dhaka court on Monday placed Habibur Rashid Habib on a one day remand in a case filed for obstructing law enforcers from performing their duties and conducting violence.
Habib was the general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Keshob Ray Chowdhury passed the order after the case’s investigation officer produced the opposition party leader before it with a 10-day remand plea.
Earlier on Sunday, the Detective Branch of Police arrested him from the capital’s Shantinagar.
