Attorney-General Mahbub-e-Alam on Tuesday said the “naked” attack on the Law Department was launched in order to foil the trial process against war criminals.
He made the remarks while addressing a rally arranged by Sammilita Ainjibi Samannoy Parishad, a forum of ruling AL-led 14-party alliance backed lawyers, on Tuesday.
The rally was arranged to protest the attack on judiciary and countrywide anarchy.
Mahbub-e-Alam Said, “The attack has been launched in order to hinder the trial process against those who have committed war crimes and faced money-laundering case.”
He urged all the lawyers of the country to be united against such attacks. Addressing the Justices, he said, “We, the lawyers are with you. So, continue your jobs without any hesitation.”
