BNP Standing Committee member Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been appointed acting secretary general of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
The party announced the decision in a press release on Thursday.
Rizvi was appointed in accordance with Article 7(b)(6) of the BNP constitution, according to the release.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
