Awami League central working committee member Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya has said Awami League would resist any “terrorist activities” for the sake of democracy.
He made the comments in front of the Awami League headquarters at Bangabandhu Avenue in response to a query made by a private television channel Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, BNP were holding their much hyped October 25 rally at Suhrawardy Udyan.
Maya said Awami League would accompany the people and resist any terrorist activities in the capital.
“The upcoming elections will take place in line with the constitution. Any intervention will be resisted.”
He was along with his party men at Bangabandhu Avenue where Awami League supporters had taken position earlier in the day ahead of the BNP rally.
Awami League had said they would be positioned throughout the capital to resist what they said any form of chaos caused by BNP.
