The left-leaning Samajtantrik Chhatra Front (SCF), student wing of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal, formed its 15th central committee on Thursday.
Former president of the front Saifuzzaman Shakon has been elected as the president again for the newly formed committee. Snehadry Chakroborti is the new general secretary of the committee.
Members of the 21-member committee were announced at a programme organised at the RC Mojumder Auditorium at the University of Dhaka.
Members of the committee announced include Vice-President Kollan Dutta, Organising Secretary Shottizit Bishawsh, Press Secretary Shariful Chowdhury, and School Affairs Secretary Taznahar Ripon.
Speaking at the event, former pilot of Bangladesh Biman Airlines Mobinul Haidar Chowdhury said the committee had been formed amid a political impasse and he hoped that the members of the committee would work jointly to remove the ongoing crisis across the country.
