BNP on Thursday got permission to hold their rally at Suhrawardy Udyan scheduled for Friday.
The opposition party, who had earlier requested Dhaka Metropolitan Police to grant them permission to hold the rally, received the nod on certain conditions which are yet to be specified.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the news with the Dhaka Tribune.
DMP permitted the main opposition to hold the rally on 11 conditions. The conditions include -- the party cannot use projection outside Suhrawardy Udyan, cannot make gathering outside the venue, the organisers have to stop party supporters gatherings to the venue two hours before begging the rally and they have to complete rally by 5pm.
BNP had planned to hold their rally in front of their headquarter in Nayapaltan, but instead received permission to do so in Suhrawardy Udyan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police imposed a ban on rally throughout capital for indefinite time from Sunday.
