Jamaat leader Nazir Ahmed said on Sunday that the government had been suffering from a phobia of Islam, the caretaker government system, Khaleda, Tarique Rahman, Jamaat-Shibir and Hefazat-e Islam.
The doctor needed to rid the Awami League-led government of these phobias was none other than Khaleda Zia, he said.
Nazir Ahmed was speaking at the convention of pro-BNP Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia also attended the programme.
Meanwhile, columnist Farhad Mazar advised Khaleda Zia to remain firm on the demand for s caretaker government.
“We have always been with you, we will criticise on mistakes, but you must not stray from your path,” he said, adding that there was no need to compromise on the caretaker issue.
