The meeting of BNP’s highest policy making body, the standing committee, began at 8:20pm party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office.
Khaleda Zia is presiding over the meeting.
The meeting is expected to shed light on the prime minister's proposal for an all-party government and device future course of action for the party.
The meeting, which had been announced earlier on October 15, is scheduled to set strategies for the ultimate anti-government propaganda after October 24.
BNP has also called for a rally on October 25 – a day after the term of the incumbent government expires – from where future plans are expected to be rolled out.
They sounded determined to hold the rally and have warned of armed resistance if they face obstruction.
