At least 10 persons were injured on Saturday morning in a clash between activists of ruling Awami League and opposition BNP over establishing supremacy in Sailkupa village of the district.
Sailkupa police station Officer-in-charge Anwar Hossain said local BNP supporters had assaulted an AL activist on Monday because of a love affair with a girl.
Following the incident, supporters of both groups locked in clash with sharp and lethal weapons this morning, leaving 10 persons of the both groups injured.
The injured were admitted to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
Two shops and three houses were also damaged during the clash.
No case was filed till Saturday afternoon, said the OC.
