BNP chief whip Jainul Abdin Farroque on Saturday reiterated the party’s request to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for permission to hold a rally on October 25.
The BNP’s Dhaka city unit asked for the permission to hold the rally at any location including Suhrawardy Udyan, Paltan ground or in front of the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters.
BNP claimed the party did not get any response from DMP since they applied for the permission on October 10.
Meanwhile, DMP on Saturday placed a ban on all forms of gathering in the capital until further notice, starting Sunday.
