At least 20 BNP activists were injured in an attack by supporters of Awami League and Jubo League in the Charfasson municipality area of Bhola on Thursday night.
Witnesses said local Jubo League leader and municipality councillor Noman intercepted two BNP leaders as they were going to meet former MP Nazim Uddin Alam, and confined them to a room and looted their belongings, reports UNB.
BNP men sent in response by Nazim were themselves attacked by the ruling party and Jubo activists, injuring 20 of them including upazila Swechchhasebak Dal General Secretary Meer Saheb.
