Police in a drive arrested seven Islami Chhatra Shibir activists from Jamil Nagar and Malgram areas in Bogra on Monday.
The arrestees were identified as Rabiul Islam, Ershad Ali, Mahbubur Rahman, Enamul Haq Sarker, Tariqul Islam, Abu Raihan and Enamul.
Sources said police recovered 45 cocktail bombs, sharp weapons and explosive materials for making 150 cocktails from their possession.
Acting on tip-off, police rushed to the Jamil Nagar area and arrested Rabiul Islam and Ershad, who were in possession of sharp weapons, around 11:30am.
On information from the arrestees, police went to the Malgram area and arrested the five others around 1:30pm.
Police sources said the activists were preparing for subversive acts on October 25.
