BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will visit Khulna on Monday, after a lapse of 24 years to attend an election rally.

He will address the rally as the chief guest at 10am at the Probaati School ground in Khalishpur, arranged jointly by Khulna Mohanagar and District BNP.

Monirul Hasan Bappi, member secretary of Khulna District BNP, confirmed the visit and said all necessary preparations have been completed following special directives from the party high command to ensure the success of the rally.

Party leaders and activists across the district are actively preparing for the program, aiming to make the visit memorable, he added.

Bappi said the announcement of Tarique Rahman's visit has generated widespread enthusiasm among party leaders and activists, noting that everyone is eagerly awaiting his arrival.

Former Khulna Mohanagar BNP president and Khulna-2 constituency candidate Nazrul Islam Manju said a large and spontaneous gathering is expected, drawing people from all walks of life regardless of party affiliation.

Shafiqul Alam Tuhin, general secretary of Khulna Mohanagar BNP, said Tarique Rahman last visited Khulna in 2004, when he addressed a grassroots representatives' assembly at Zia Hall.
