Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatradal's Dhaka University unit held a protest march demanding justice for Dipu Das in Mymensingh and for the murder of young Ayesha, daughter of a BNP leader whose house was set on fire in Lakshmipur, along with other ongoing mob violence incidents across the country.
On Sunday afternoon, the protest march began from Dhaka University's Teacher-Student Center (TSC), went around key areas of the university, and concluded with a brief rally at the base of the Raju Sculpture near TSC.
Ganesh Chandra Roy Shahos, president of the DU unit of Chhatra Dal, said: "The Bangladesh we envisioned after August 5—where Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians would all practice their religions freely, pursue their ideologies, and contribute to the nation's progress from their workplaces—has yet to become a reality."
Ganesh Chandra stated: "A particular group is systematically attempting to destabilize the country through rumors, provocation, and mob formation."
He added: "Just yesterday (Saturday), we saw how rumors were spread about the burial site of our comrade Osman Hadir. Aware students and citizens stopped that conspiracy. These rumors gradually build into mobs."

Chhatra Dal's Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib began his speech by praying for Osman Hadir's departed soul, saying: "By today, it must be revealed to the nation who his killers are, where they are, and what action has been taken against them."
Rakibul Islam said: "For over a year and a half, mob rule and disorder have plagued the country. Since August 5, a certain group has been systematically engaging in politics through social media propaganda, bot armies, and religious manipulation."
"Through the direct and indirect instigation of these malicious forces, innocent garment workers or seven-year-old Ayesha Akhtar are being locked inside, doused with petrol, and burned to death. This is not the Bangladesh we wanted."
He continued: "We strongly condemn this inhumane, perverted, and hypocritical mentality. These people are not humane; they have no humanity. These malicious forces are working to implement the agenda of a particular group."
