Considering the country’s overall economic situation, the BNP sees signs of an impending famine. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Friday that there is no alternative to elections to resolve the ongoing crisis.
He made the remarks at a program held in front of the party’s central office in Naya Paltan in the morning.
Rizvi said: “If people regain their right to vote through elections, all problems will be resolved.”
He also warned that if a famine-like situation arises, the people will not spare anyone.
