BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the party expects that messages from Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman will be delivered at the BNP’s program at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka on Tuesday, as part of a series of programs to be held to mark the anniversary of the July uprising.
Rizvi made the statement at a press conference on Monday afternoon at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center, following a meeting of the discipline committee for the July uprising events.
"We expect this program will be successful and glorious. Along with national leaders, leaders of other allied parties and family members of martyrs will also be present," he said.
Addressing party activists in charge of ensuring discipline, Rizvi said: "You have to perform your duties with dedication. Invited party leaders, invited family members of martyrs, and families of the victims of enforced disappearances and killings may attend. Treat them well. Ensure everyone is properly seated."
He called on party leaders and activists to cooperate in making the program a success.
