The widely discussed meeting between Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman got underway on Friday afternoon in London, with Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki hoping it will help pave the way for unity.
The meeting began at 2pm at the Dorchester hotel in London.
Farooki shared photos of the two leaders on Facebook, writing: "Probably one of the most anticipated meetings of all time! Hope it paves the way for unity - something we saw in July 2024!"
Notably, the political arena had been abuzz with interest and speculation about this meeting for several days.
