Alleging that both ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and certain figures within the interim government are responsible for the deterioration of law and order, BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has demanded the removal of Hasina's loyalists from the government.
"The fascist Sheikh Hasina has orchestrated conspiracies leading to this situation, but those within the interim administration who align with her are equally accountable. We demand the removal of Hasina's loyalists from the advisory government, as well as from the administration and bureaucracy," he said on Sunday while addressing a rally in Feni.
The rally was organized to demand measures for stabilizing the prices of essential commodities, improving the worsening law and order situation, announcing an election roadmap and countering alleged conspiracies by the fallen fascist regime.
Salahuddin said: "The people of Bangladesh had hoped for improved law and order and price stability. Before Ramadan, supply chains must be strengthened, and tax and VAT reductions should be considered."
Addressing the interim government, he cautioned: "Do not impose excessive reforms that will burden the people. Do not exacerbate the crisis by driving up essential commodity prices. Provide relief to the people. Ensure that prices remain stable during Ramadan and that law and order is maintained."
