The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a series of rallies across all 64 districts of the country, demanding effective measures to curb rising prices of daily essentials, address the deteriorating law and order situation, and push for an electoral roadmap.
“The BNP will hold rallies in every district, starting on February 11 (Tuesday) and concluding before Ramadan. Similar gatherings will then be organized in metropolitan and divisional headquarters,” said BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a press conference at the party’s central office in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
He added that members of the BNP’s National Standing Committee and other senior leaders will attend the rallies as guests.
The schedule specifying which leaders will be present in each district will be announced later, he noted.
