The BNP Standing Committee held an emergency meeting to discuss the country’s current situation on Friday morning.
According to BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, the meeting was virtually presided over by the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, and attended by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with other standing committee members.
When asked about the meeting, Standing Committee Member Begum Selima Rahman said: “We discussed the ongoing situation in the country. We had presented our party’s stance last night and further decisions will be disclosed in due course.”
