Two groups of Jatiyatabadi Charta Dal (JCD) locked into clash in New Market area of the port city on Saturday afternoon during a view exchange meeting of its central leaders.
At least two crude bombs were blasted during the clash between Enam and Shamsu group of JCD Chittagong (south) unit, said Mirza Saiem Mahmud, assistant commissioner (Kotwali) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police.
On information, police had rushed to the spot and dispersed both groups, he added.
Vehicular movements on the roads in the area were disrupted because of the clash, said the police official.
