Adviser to the Prime Minister Gowhar Rizvi said the next general elections would be held under the constitutional timeframe.
He said: “The polls will be held in due time and problems in this regard will be resolved through discussion.”
He came up with the remarks while addressing a view exchange meeting of divisional non-government organisations (NGOs) in the city’s Muslim Institute Hall on Saturday morning.
Replying to queries of journalists, he said: “No question will be raised about transparency of the election. Foreign vigilance team, including European Union, United States of America can monitor the entire process but our internal problems will be solved through holding talks among us.”
