The martyrs of the July-August mass uprising cannot be divided by party identity, they are national heroes, said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman.
He made this statement while speaking as the chief guest at the "Inspirational Mass Uprising 24" program organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan South at a Dhaka hotel on Saturday.
This memorial program was organized for the injured and disabled people of the July-August Revolution.
At this time, 300 injured people who participated in the July uprising participated.
The injured people attended the ceremony, some on stretchers, some carrying sticks, some with their hands tied, and some with black glasses.
At the time, Jamaat ameer said that although the interim government promised better treatment for the injured here and abroad, it has not been able to ensure proper treatment in the country so far, and there is no visible progress in treatment abroad either.
On the other hand, some political parties have started dividing martyrs based on party affiliation.
Jamaat Ameer also demanded that those involved in the killings committed during the mass uprising be brought to justice
At the event, the injured expressed various incidents of the uprising.
The memories and cries of the injured students, daily wage workers, rickshaw pullers and workers created an emotional atmosphere in the meeting venue.
The injured demanded better medical treatment and justice for the Awami League cadres.
