Mosharraf Hossain emphasized that the government is committed to restoring the people's rights.
He said: "A roadmap for elections must be announced swiftly. If people are motivated toward elections after receiving the roadmap, no one will dare to conspire as they are doing now."
He noted that the interim government was established through the student-people uprising.
Their responsibility is to protect the country's sovereignty and establish democracy.
Criticizing the former so-called government for conspiring abroad, the senior BNP leader said: "Those assisting that fascist regime are facing united opposition from all political parties. The ongoing conspiracies aim to create divisions among the Bangladeshi people."
The senior BNP leader reiterated BNP's agreement with the interim government.
He said: "Just as the government was removed in August through a mass uprising, we will also confront those who are supporting them now."
Mosharraf Hossain further said: "The chief adviser has assured us of taking appropriate steps to establish national unity. Today, all political parties present here agreed on forming this national unity."
BNP delegation members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain were also present.
