PM visits Cox’s Bazar today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday morning.

Security in the district has been fortified, with Special Security Force (SSF), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Army personnel are patrolling the area.

The prime minister will inaugurate Buddha Bihar at Bimukti Bidarshan Bhabna Kendra in the morning.

She is scheduled to go Ramu central Sima Bihar to inaugurate new buildings of 10 Buddhist monasteries. The premier will go to Inani Rest House in Ukhia upazila around 12:30pm, reports banglanews.

After lunch around 2:30pm prime minister will address a rally on the Ukhia High School grounds. Before that, she will inaugurate 16 new buildings and development programs including seven Buddhist monasteries.

Sheikh Hasina is also set to inaugurate Marine Research Institute in Penchardwip; an Atomic Medical Centre; Fire Service Station, Teknaf; Sub-registrar Office of Chakaria; Cox’s Bazar Textile Institute and Chiringa food go down, and many other development activities.

The premier will fly for Dhaka around 4pm.
