Warning party activists about an ongoing wave of conspiracies, the Awami League has urged its leaders and activists not to be misled by random calls for party events.
They advised refraining from joining any political event under the party banner unless it has been announced through verified social media accounts.
The party informed leaders and activists about the persistence of conspiracies against them and encouraged activists to use online platforms as a means to protest against the current onslaught and rights abuses targeting party members.
“A serious conspiracy against the party is ongoing. Any call to join a party event without an official announcement is merely a rumour. Decisions authorized by the party will be shared through verified social media pages and the publicity office,” the statement read.
“We urge everyone not to be deceived by false campaigns," reads a post on the party's verified page.
