Salahuddin Ahmed urges everyone to stay aware to prevent any state, constitutional crisis

Senior BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed on Sunday called upon everyone to remain alert, saying that plots are afoot to create a constitutional crisis aimed at undermining the achievements of the student-led mass revolution.

Speaking at a program organized by Jamaat-e-Islami, he said that the future of the Awami League's political presence in Bangladesh, after committing acts of genocide, will ultimately be determined by the people of the country.

“Many attempts are being made to create a constitutional crisis in the country. If there is a constitutional crisis, a state crisis, or a political crisis, we must first analyze the forces behind these political challenges. We need to assess the potential outcomes," the BNP leader said.

He said that it is also necessary to evaluate who stands to benefit from the post-revolution changes and who seeks to undermine them.

Salahuddin, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, stressed the importance of identifying the accomplices of fascism to prevent their plots.

“We must consider whether the fruits of the revolution are being stolen in its aftermath. To prevent a state crisis and a constitutional crisis, we need to remain vigilant to ensure that fallen fascism cannot take advantage of these situations," he said.

The BNP leader urged everyone to stay aware and alert to prevent any state or constitutional crisis in the country.

The Dhaka north city unit of Jamaat-e-Islami organized the program at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center to exchange views with the families of those who were brutally martyred by the Awami League.
