Former housing and public works minister and Awami League presidium member Engineer Mosharraf Hossain was arrested by Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) on Sunday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner of Public Relations and Media Branch, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, confirmed the arrest.
He said: "Former housing and public works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain was taken into custody from the Bashundhara residential area by the DB team."
