BNP Standing Committee member Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram, has urged the party's leaders and workers to engage in politics to serve the people.
"BNP is working to strengthen the country’s democratic system. BNP leaders and workers must focus on the welfare of the people," he said.
Hafiz Uddin Ahmed spoke to journalists after exchanging views with BNP leaders, workers, and members of its associate bodies at Tazumuddin Upazila on Friday.
He said that Bangladesh achieved freedom a second time through the movements led by students, common people, and political parties.
“We believe all citizens should live in peace and have equal opportunities to exercise their rights,” he said.
The BNP leader added that Tazumuddin Upazila will become a more peaceful place for its residents than ever before.
